Settling in Nouvelle Aquitaine

Dedicated support for newcomers settling between Libourne and Bergerac.

Discover Dordogne & Gironde

The Dordogne and Gironde are two departments offering an exceptional quality of life. Rolling vineyards, quiet countryside, medieval towns, lively markets and a warm southern climate make this area one of the most attractive places to live in France.

Many people choose to move here for the slower pace of life, the beautiful landscapes and the strong sense of community.

Whether you are planning a permanent relocation or spending part of the year here, the region has its own rhythm, its own customs and a way of life that is both welcoming and deeply rooted in French culture.

Settling here can be incredibly rewarding, but it also requires time and understanding. This is especially true when it comes to language.

Learning French: an essential part of settling in

Living comfortably in France is much easier when you can understand, speak and interact in French. From visiting the doctor to attending appointments at the mairie, organising utilities, understanding letters, or simply chatting with neighbours, the language quickly becomes part of daily life.

This is why learning French is not only an academic goal, but a practical and social one. It helps you become more independent, feel integrated and navigate everyday situations with confidence.

My role as a French teacher is to guide you through this process and support your integration, whether through regular lessons, conversation practice or immersion experiences in Dordogne.

While most of my French lessons are offered online and can be followed from anywhere, I also welcome students for in-person lessons in Villefranche-de-Lonchat, a charming village situated between Libourne and Bergerac.
